By Melissa McEwen

i love
like it is
my boo.
like it is
york city
lower east side
& i am in
a bimbo
rivas mood
to write a poem
about you. every day
i discover
something new
that makes me
fall for you
all over again.
like yesterday
on park street
the puerto rican
flag as a curtain
in someone’s apartment
window. little things
like that.

Melissa McEwen is a poet from Hartford, Connecticut whose poems have been published in various journals, anthologies, and magazines online and in print such as Rattle, MiPOesias, and Connecticut River Review to name a few.
